The plot in the movie thickens when Reggie Thomson a well to do insurance agent decided to forfeit his 5 ct VVS diamond and go for the neon paraiba tourmaline in its place. After selling thousand of life insurance policies in his life Reggie can out talk even the smoothest Jewelry salesman.

A third speculator also has his eyes on the beautiful priceless paraiba. As the entertaining film goes on little is revealed about him only that he had some past insurance and finance dealings with Reggie Thomson.
